Account & Settings

Manage your profile, API keys, and account preferences. AIStoryHub is free — you only pay your AI provider for the tokens you use.

Account Overview

AIStoryHub is free. There is no subscription fee and no platform charge for AI usage. Your account gives you full access to every feature from day one.

Profile

Your profile lives at /profile and has three tabs:

Personal

  • • Full name and username
  • • Email (managed by auth provider)
  • • Location, website, Twitter
  • • Bio
  • • Referral code

Security

  • • Change password
  • • Connected authentication providers
  • • Active session management

Messaging

  • • Notification preferences
  • • Email communication settings

AI Keys

Found in the sidebar under API Keys. This is where you connect your AI provider credentials.

Free LLM — included for everyone

DeepSeek V4 Flash is platform-funded and available to all accounts with no configuration. Quality and the underlying model are not guaranteed and may change.

Provider Keys — bring your own

Add keys from any of these providers. Keys are encrypted at rest and never logged. You pay each provider directly at their published rates — AIStoryHub takes no cut.

Anthropic

Claude Opus 4.8, Sonnet 4.6, Haiku 4.5 — best prose quality

OpenAI

GPT-4o, GPT-4o mini, o4-mini — fast and widely available

OpenRouter

100+ models from multiple providers via one key

Cost transparency: AIStoryHub does not charge you for AI usage. All token costs flow directly through your provider account. Set spending limits in your provider's dashboard to control your costs.

Instructions

The Instructions sidebar item lets you write custom system-level instructions that apply to all generation runs. Use this for persistent preferences Ash should always follow — tone guidance, things to always avoid, or writing rules you follow consistently.

Instructions layer on top of your Voiceprint style and story configuration. Use them for cross-story rules, not per-story settings. For rules specific to a single story, use Story Rules in that story's World tab instead.

Account Security

  • • Use a strong, unique password
  • • API keys are encrypted at rest and never logged
  • • Regularly review your active sessions in the Security tab
  • • Sign out of shared devices when done
