Information We Collect

Information We Collect

We collect only what's necessary to provide you with the best writing experience. This includes your account information (name, email), your stories and creative content, any API keys you connect and the providers you link them to, activity in community features (published work, groups, comments), and technical data to ensure the platform works smoothly.

How We Use Your Information

How We Use Your Information

Your information helps us deliver AI writing assistance, keep your stories saved and available across your devices, respond to support requests, send important updates about your account, and improve the platform. We do not use your writing to train AI models.

03

AI Providers and Your Content

AI Providers and Your Content

AIStoryHub uses a Bring Your Own Key model. When you connect your own API key from a provider such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or OpenRouter, your writing is sent directly from our platform to that provider to generate or revise text. If you use our free built-in model instead of your own key, your request is routed through OpenRouter to the underlying model provider using our platform account. In every case, your content is processed only to produce the output you asked for, and we do not use it to train any model. Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review. Any API keys you store are encrypted and used only to make requests on your behalf.

04

Information Sharing

Information Sharing

We never sell your personal information or your stories. We share data only with the service providers that make the platform work: our cloud hosting and database provider, the AI providers described above, our email delivery provider, and, where applicable, a payment or prize-fulfilment provider. These partners may use your data only to perform services for us. Your creative content stays private unless you choose to publish it, share it in a group, or collaborate with others.

05

Public and Shared Content

Public and Shared Content

AIStoryHub includes community features: you can publish stories and worldbuilding collections to public pages, join beta-reader groups, and leave comments or annotations. Anything you choose to publish or share is visible to others according to the audience you select, and published pages may be indexed by search engines. You can unpublish or delete shared content at any time, though copies may persist in caches or with people who accessed it while it was public.

06

Data Security

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

07

Your Rights

Your Rights

You own your stories and have full control over your data. You can export your content anytime, delete your account, update your information, or request a copy of your data. You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails while keeping important account notifications.

Cookies and Tracking

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies to remember your login, save your writing preferences, and understand how you use our platform to make it better. We don't use invasive tracking or sell your browsing data. You can disable cookies, but some features may not work properly.
